St Peter's Preparatory & CBC Boksburg Academies

I am personally responsible for all cricket coaching and teaching at the academies.The coaching programs and clinics provide for individual and group sessions throughout the year.The academies also boast their own lecture facilities providing in depth video analysis and specific cricket workshops focusing on all the essential cricketing basics to becoming a top cricketer. Academy teams are also selected to play against opposition sides. All academy members receive a buying discount at the cricket shop.The academies are also suitable for visiting teams or groups looking for a specific coaching need and experience. The academy does not offer accommodation for those looking for an extended stay and must be arranged by the team or group. I am happy to assist and advise in this regard.

The Coaching Programs: 

An invitation is extended to all cricketers to join our unique coaching programs. The programs are designed for all cricketers irrespective of age and ability. The programs include the latest thinking in cricket coaching combined with my personal cricketing experience and coaching knowledge.

Individual Coaching Program:
These sessions are a half an hour or an hour once a week.Sessions can be shared between two cricketers.All the essential technical and mental cricketing basics and skills,are covered.This is supported by regular and comprehensive video analysis.This one-on-one work has proved to be highly successfull and all our cricketers have made great strides in improving their game.

DCGO Coaching Program:
I have joined forces with former Protea’s technical analyst, Gustav Obermeyer to offer a unique coaching opportunity for all aspiring cricketers. It is something I have always wanted to do and Gustav’s vast experience in computer analysis and software function has finally meant this advanced coaching possibility is efficiently available at an affordable fee. It has two components-evening net sessions accompanied by video analysis.

The evening net sessions will be conducted by Matthew Sanger at the Daryll Cullinan Cricket Academy,St Peter’s Preparatory. The group is limited to 20 cricketers only. These sessions give the students opportunity to work on their skills and technique under the watchfull eye of expert coaching. The video and voice over analysis will be personally done by myself and Gustav. This will be packaged in the form of a DVD  for viewing at home or for the kids respective school or club coach. The Dartfish TeamPro software is the software being used. It is the most advanced video technology available in the world today. DC Cub Program:

The Cub Program is designed for young cricketersfrom Grade 0 to Grade 3. The program focuses on all the cricketing basics and has proved to be a wonderfull introductory program for young cricketers starting out.Coaches are taught in the program and specific coaching aids are used in teaching young cricketers.

Holiday Clinics:
The holiday clinics are specifically designed for young cricketers from 6 to 18 years old. Please note numbers are limited to 24 kids/group. The clinics cover all the aspects of cricket including batting, bowling, fielding and wicketkeeping.The focus is on the development of correct technique, natural skill, sportsmanship and teamwork.
